  • Emergency numbers are posted by every phone inside SMARTY PANTS
  • We teach children to call 9-1-1, and when it would be appropriate
  • We have a disaster supply kit.  It is located in the garage
  • Our first aid kit is located:  on the cubbies by bathroom
  • We have established two escape routes for each room used and the emergency escape plan is posted on each floor
  • We conduct fire and evacuation drills every month
  • Our fire extinguisher is located:     in the kitchen
  • We examine fire extinguishers and recharge fire extinguishers as recommended by the manufacturer
  • Our smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are checked monthly and the batteries are replaced annually
  • We have one dedicated battery powered radio at Smarty Pants.  It does not have to be on all the time, but is does need to be readily accessible.  We will listen to 103.1 WAFY for local disaster news
  • Smarty Pants have a list of adults other then parents who may pick up each child in the event a parent cannot do so
